Ad 2 Austin (AD2ATX) Public Service Campaign: Call for Talent

What is the Ad 2 Austin Public Service Campaign? One of the core competencies and differentiating factors of Ad 2 Austin is our dedication to public service. Each year, Ad 2 clubs nationwide choose a local nonprofit to produce an advertising and marketing campaign for — at no cost whatsoever.

Did you know that most of our global food supply is pollinated by bees?

This year, Ad 2 Austin is proud to support the American Honey Bee Protection Agency by producing a full advertising and marketing campaign. For more than 10 years, AHBPA has been saving honey bees by educating Texas communities on the role honey bees play in the ecosystem. With beekeepers reporting a loss of more than 40 percent of their honey bee colonies in 2015, it is crucial for an increase in community awareness on the importance of saving honey bees. AHBPA does just this by rescuing and relocating bees, fighting the use of pesticides and the causes of colony collapse disorder, and offering multi-faceted Bee Education classes in schools, prisons, and corporate programs.

The bees need our advertising and marketing expertise!

While AHBPA has been buzzing around Texas saving bees and educating the community about our honey-producing friends, the nonprofit has not been able to dedicate the time or resources to focus on marketing needs. This is where Ad 2 Austin comes in! AHBPA’s primary goal is to increase awareness about the organization, raise more funding to help run the organization and provide free services/education, and spread the word about the pivotal role bees take in ensuring survival of the human race. All of these goals can be achieved through the development and execution of strategic marketing and advertising campaigns, and Ad 2 Austin is thrilled to step up to the challenge!

In an effort to increase the organization’s presence and create a cohesive/consistent brand experience, Ad 2 Austin is proposing the following deliverables:

  • Social media property management and refresh:
  • Development of social media content
  • Development of a content calendar
  • Photo library (photo shoots to develop high quality creative assets to use in marketing materials, would also like to do video if possible)
  • Fundraising events (e.g. happy hours to raise funds and build awareness)
  • Brand style guide (e.g. proper logo usage, look and feel)
  • Brand playbook (e.g. brand strategy, brand personality, core content/claims)

There is a lot of work to be done and we can use all the help we can get from all the honey bee lovers out there! If you want an opportunity to help this Austin nonprofit, bee a part of a unique brand awareness campaign, and save thousands of bees, this is the job for you! The campaign will run through June of 2017 and will require a moderate time commitment.

If one of the following positions below fit your experience and your itch contribute to the Austin/Texas community, contact us at [email protected] with your information (resume/portfolios are always a plus!) by December 9th. Once we assemble our team, AHBPA will host a private bee education class for Ad 2 Austin where we will learn fun facts about bees that we can use for content development. The event will also include honey tasting!
